The Deborah Harry US book party/event will be held Wednesday, May 31 at the club Mother in NYC. Mother is located at 875 Washington Street at West 14th Street. Those fans who already have the book know the club is Deborah's favorite. The party/event will be open to the public after 10pm, although a line may be forming outside before that time. There will be a $10 charge at the door and a live auction of Deborah Harry/Blondie memorabilia at 10:30pm to benefit an animal charity.
The club also has a strict dress code for this night which will be punk rock/80's glam/Deborah Harry or Blondie t-shirts, pins, patches etc. Please tell true fans to dress-up so we can spot them and get them in. The club is small and can only accomodate a few hundred people, so first come, first serve.
The final date was changed from May 24 because of a schedule conflict with a planned AIDS benefit Deborah wishes to attend in London on May 26.
