Sound, Mind and Body Institute, Future Circuit Productions in conjunction with Columbusmusic.com and ÒThe FactoryÓ kicks off AIDSROCKOHIO Ð ÒWho Wants to Be a Rock StarÓ National band competition registration Monday, April 21st. Registration online at www.aidsrockohio.com ends May 31st.
On Saturday, June 28th, The AIDSROCKOHIO Media Party sponsored by NBC channel 4 will be held at ÒThe FactoryÓ to kick off the events with a fundraiser attended by local media sponsors and special guest appearances. The pre-party from 7pm-9pm is $100 includes a meet and greet with special guests, access to the VIP lounge, entertainment and silent auction.
Entertainment for the evening includes performances by 2-time Grammy winner Taylor Dayne, double platinum album pop icons Blondie and DJ extraordinaire Felix Da Housecat.

A&R reps from Grammy.com will judge the finalists. The winner will receive a recording contract and a chance to open for a MAJOR headliner at the Schottenstein Arena on Sunday, September 14th.
The competition will be held at ÒThe FactoryÓ beginning Saturday, August 16th and every Saturday through Sept 6th. The 4 final bands will play before a national act at the ÒTall Trees Music FestivalÓ on Saturday, September 13th. The winner will be announced that evening. Celebrity judges will be on hand to give their feedback to artists. Local comedian and DJ Michael Palermo from CD101 will emcee the event.
Bands will also have the opportunity to play at the ÒAIDSROCKOHIO ÐTall Trees Music FestivalÓ Saturday, September 13th, an all day event at ÒThe FactoryÓ. Profits from these events goes to local and national AIDS charities:
