Bravo Taping Done
November 18, 2001

The Bravo episode of "Musicians" was taped live with a studio audience in Manhattan on Friday, November 16th, 2001. Debbie, Chris, and Paul performed five songs and answered questions before the live audience, which included some fast-acting members of the DHBIS mailing list who attended on very short notice. The episode is scheduled to air in February, 2002. Check out Bravo's site for more details.


Bravo Rehearsals

Paul Carbonara emailed with this news: "I just got back from a rehearsal with Chris and Debbie - they are doing an interview show for Bravo, the cable tv channel. The three of us are going to do some stripped down versions of three or four tunes. It will tape at Sony Studios and should air some time in February. The format is supposed to be something like 'Inside the Actors Studio'. It looks like we're starting to get rolling again. This band has a tendency to suddenly leap into action - I think we'll be leaping soon."

Three New DVDs
November 11, 2001

There are three new DVDs featuring Debbie listed on the merchandise page. "Unmade Beds" (1980) and "The Foreigner" (1978) are two early films by Amos Poe that have never been released on home video until now. "Tales From The Darkside" from 1990 features Debbie as a suburban witch about to have Matthew Lawrence for dinner.

NY Tragedy

We have been receiving a lot of email on the safety of the band members after Tuesday's horrifying attacks. I (Louis - the web guy) did manage to contact a band member last night who confirmed that they are all OK. I'm sure they would join the blondie.net staff in saying our hearts go out to everyone that was touched by this terrible tragedy.

Blondie Reissues Back Catalog In US and UK With Rare Bonus Tracks

Capitol Records has released Blondie's first six albums. They debuted on September 10, 2001 in the UK and September 11, 2001 in the US. Each album is remastered in 24-bit digital sound, and each one contains bonus material, some which has never been released until now. Blondie.net visitors can purchase the albums and listen to previews in a variety of formats on our merchandise page.


VH1 Offers Rare Tracks

VH1 is providing three free Blondie MP3s: Live It Up (Special Disco Mix), Denis (Alternative Version), and I Feel Love (Live) are available. These three tracks do not appear on the new Capitol reissues so get them while you can!


Cinema Italiano

ArtsWorld (UK) will broadcast "Fire at Keaton's Bar & Grill", a musical production by Roy Nathanson. The show features Elvis Costello, Deborah Harry, David Cale, Ray Dobbins, Ivan Marcano, and of course, Roy Nathanson.
